Carry it Forward: Why We Give Back

As I type this, I’m sitting in my neighborhood brewery, drinking a lager, occasionally checking my phone, and wearing a cute new top (well…new to me. I pride myself on my thrifting finds, so my closet is basically 90% second-hand). It’s almost 100 degrees outside but the air conditioning is working overtime, and I might grab a second beer after I finish this post.

In other words, I’m feeling pretty privileged. Maybe I’m not the only one.

That feeling is exactly why I’m so excited to officially introduce the Carry It Forward initiative.

For every purchase of our logo merchandise, a portion will be donated to an organization that supports law enforcement, military members, or women’s empowerment. Each month, we’ll announce the specific organization on social media, but our giving pillars will stay consistent:

Spring: First responders

Summer: Military

Fall: Female empowerment

Winter: First responder and military family support

This community means a lot to me, both on a personal and professional level. As a female law enforcement agent, engaged to a US Army veteran, the people behind these organizations are coworkers, friends, mentors, and family. They’re the women who show up for each other, the first responders who run toward danger, and the service members who sacrifice for our way of life.

Her Carry was created because women should not have to compromise between comfort, fashion, and functionality. Carry It Forward is HC’s way of giving back to the communities that shaped us and continue to support us.
